Whether the prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and auto gas will increase or decrease in January will be announced today (January 2), Thursday. On this day, the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) will announce the new prices for the whole month.
The information was revealed in a notification issued by the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) on Wednesday, January 1.
The notification said that private LPG and LPG prices will be adjusted at the consumer level in line with the Saudi CP (propane and butane gas prices) for January (2025) announced by Saudi Aramco.
BERC has learned that the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission’s directive on price adjustment of private LPG at the consumer level will be announced at 3 pm on Thursday. Private LPG prices at the consumer level will be adjusted this month in accordance with the Saudi CP for January (2025) announced by Saudi Aramco.
In 2024, LPG and LPG prices were cut four times and raised seven times. However, prices remained unchanged in December. Last year, prices were increased in January, February, March, July, August, September and October, and decreased in April, May, June and November.
