Similarly, Paralympic medal winner Praveen Kumar will be conferred with the prestigious Khel Ratna. The Central Government also announced that men’s hockey team captain Harmanpreet Singh will be awarded the highest award. Khel Ratna is the highest sports honour for a sportsperson, particularly in India. The Ministry of Sports has selected 32 athletes, including 17 para-athletes, for the Arjuna Award.
