The government is taking special steps to provide necessary facilities to the distinguished and very distinguished people for the Maha Kumbh Mela to be held in Prayagraj in 2025. The main purpose is to provide a better experience to the devotees, foreign tourists, celebrities, and VIPs participating in the Mela. Circuit houses have been set up in five areas for the dignitaries attending the Mela. These have a total capacity of 250 tents. Also, a special tent city with 110 cottages is being developed under the auspices of the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation. This tent city is being built more extensively with a total capacity of 2200 cottages. This fair will continue for a total of 45 days during the Maha Kumbh Mela, starting from the full moon of the month of Pushya and ending with Mahashivratri. While the first bathing ceremony will be held on January 13, 2025, the last main bathing ceremony will be held on February 26.
By this time, crores of devotees from India and abroad will attend the Maha Kumbh Mela. The government has appointed three additional district magistrates, three deputy district magistrates, Naib Tahsildars, and four accountants to oversee the protocol system for the dignitaries attending the Mela. Along with them, Deputy Collector-level officers have been appointed as Sector Magistrates in a total of 25 sectors. A 24×7 control room has been set up to facilitate the movement of dignitaries. Special staff will be available in this room from time to time. If any problems arise in the Mela area, they can be resolved immediately through this control room. Security and facilities are the main concerns during the Maha Kumbh Mela. Special arrangements are being made for the devotees and dignitaries participating in the Mela without any hassle. These include cleanliness, drinking water, medical facilities, etc.
