Incessant rains in AP

Due to the influence of low pressure, many districts of Andhra Pradesh are receiving heavy rains. Due to incessant rains for the past three days, normal life is in chaos. The low pressure formed in the Bay of Bengal is continuing to persist. The Visakhapatnam Cyclone Warning Center has informed that a surface depression is continuing at a height of 5.8 km in the central Bay of Bengal. Due to its influence, it has been informed that heavy rains will continue for another two days. The third number of danger warnings have been issued in Kalingapatnam and Visakhapatnam ports. Fishermen have been warned not to go fishing.

387.6 mm of rain fell in Visakhapatnam district

Meanwhile, houses and trees are collapsing due to heavy rains in several parts of North Andhra. Visakhapatnam district has recorded 387.6 mm of rainfall in 24 hours.

In Visakhapatnam district, Anantapur received 47.8 mm of rainfall, Pedagantyada 42.6 mm, Mulagada 39.4 mm, Bhimili 39.2 mm, Gajuwaka 36.4 mm, Padmanabham 35.6 mm, Maharanipet 35.2 mm, Visakhapatnam rural 32.6 mm, Pendurthi 27.8 mm, Gopalapatnam 26.8 mm, and Seethammadar 24.2 mm.

Meanwhile, the sea in Visakhapatnam is in turmoil due to the influence of a low pressure area. The beach protection wall at Gokul Park was largely damaged on Friday as large waves reached the shore.
