Ravichandran Ashwin: Ashwin bids farewell to international cricket

Ravichandran Ashwin, known as the legendary spinner in Indian cricket, has said goodbye to international cricket. He officially announced his retirement after the third Test against Australia. He has scored 3,474 runs in 105 Tests and taken 536 wickets. He has scored 6 centuries and 14 half-centuries in Tests and has achieved the feat of taking 10 wickets in a single Test 8 times. He has taken 156 wickets in ODIs and 72 wickets in T20Is.

Former players and fans are reacting warmly to Ashwin’s retirement. Kohli and Rohit Sharma have praised Ashwin’s services to the Indian team as inspiring to everyone. Fans are hoping that Ashwin will now be seen in cricket analysis or in a role of mentoring young players. Many are of the opinion that Indian cricket has yet to see an all-rounder better than Ashwin.
