Sri Lankan President Dissanayake meets Modi..!

Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake arrived in India on a three-day visit. On this occasion, he held wide-ranging talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday on strengthening bilateral ties, defense, trade and investment. This is Dissanayake’s first foreign visit after being elected as the President of Sri Lanka. Before the talks, he also met President Droupadi Murmu. Details of the talks between Prime Minister Modi and Anura Dissanayake were given by External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal.

Agreement between the two countries
On this occasion, an agreement was reached between the two countries on some key issues.
He said that an agreement was reached on trade, investment and security cooperation. External Affairs Minister Jaishankar also posted on social media. He said that he was happy to meet Dissanayake, who is visiting India for the first time.

Sri Lanka is key to the Neighborhood First Policy and Sagar Outlook.. He said that he hopes that the talks between Prime Minister Modi and Dissanayake will build trust and cooperation. Dissanayake said that issues of mutual interest were discussed in the talks held by External Affairs Minister Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. On reaching Delhi on Sunday evening.. he said in a social media post that he was welcomed by officials along with Union Minister L Murugan. He was elected as the President at a young age in the recent elections and came to our country for the first time.
